Instructions

Rinse chilled glass with absinthe, add remaining ingredients to a mixing glass with ice, stir until well-chilled, strain into the prepared glass. Express lemon peel over the drink and discard.

A variation on the classic Sazerac, substituting honey for sugar to add a unique sweetness and depth.

The Honey Sazerac offers:

  • Rye whiskey spiciness balanced by honey's mellow sweetness.
  • Absinthe rinse for an aromatic lift.
  • Bitters to enhance complexity and balance.
